This year’s theme – Now More Than Ever – resonates deeply. We know that creating culturally safe and inclusive spaces takes more than intention – it requires learning, leadership and action.

This week, we are proud to share several key initiatives:

  • Executive Cultural Competency Training: Our Senior Leadership Team took part in Aboriginal Cultural Competency training, led by experienced First Nations facilitators. This training supports culturally responsive leadership at every level.

  • Workforce-wide Cultural Learning: All staff are now completing Who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples? – the first of three mandatory eLearning modules through the SBS Inclusion Program. The course builds foundational knowledge on First Nations history, diversity and the importance of allyship.

  • External Engagement: Our teams have been encouraged to attend community-led NRW events to connect, listen and reflect.

These actions align with our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan 2026–2028 and the guiding pillars of Relationships, Respect, Opportunities and Governance. Our RAP Working Group – including First Nations representatives – ensures our approach is informed, inclusive and impactful.

We stand firm in our belief that reconciliation must be lived every day – not only during this important week.
